KNEMOS is designed as a local-first cognitive operating layer that sits between the user and their existing operating system. Rather than replacing Windows, browsers, or productivity tools, it acts as an intelligence layer that continuously observes, understands, and organizes digital activity into meaningful contexts.

The architecture is built around a simple principle:

Applications generate activity, but users work in contexts.

To bridge this gap, KNEMOS transforms fragmented activity from multiple sources into structured semantic workspaces that can be searched, analyzed, restored, and optimized.

At a high level, the system consists of three interconnected layers:

Desktop Application
